True North seeks to be available to people based on right fit, not income level, so we operate on a tiered sliding scale. We want to be able to offer this type of education to all that want to be here. We are doing our best to balance accessibility with sustainability.

 

In determining our tuition process, we focus on accessibility, responsibility and trust. The culture of a self-directed learning community is rooted in trust and we are committed to developing relationships of trust with all community members.

 

We all know that Santa Barbara is home to families with widely varying financial resources. In an effort to offer a program grounded in equity, we ask that those who are able to pay at a higher tier do so in order that we can serve all the families who wish to participate in the program. True North appreciates all the different and valuable ways we each can support our growing community.

Please choose one of the tiers below that reflects what you are able to pay. If tier 5 is more than your family can afford, please contact us for information regarding further scholarship opportunities.

 

Note that there are a certain number of spaces available for each tier. The tier level that TN can offer at any given time depends on availability.​

We will review your tuition offer and determine if we have space at the tier for which you’re applying. If so, the offer will be accepted. If not, we will contact you to discuss the options.
